Our Brand Story

KARME MIDDLE EAST COMMODITY TRADING LLC founded in Muscat, Oman In line with Vision 2040 and in order to provide food security and self-sufficiency in the country.

In ancient Greek religion and mythology, Demeter is the Olympian goddess of the harvest and agriculture, presiding over crops, grains, food, and the fertility of the earth. In Greek mythology, KARME was a demi-goddess of the harvest. She was daughter of Euboulos (Eubulus), demi-god of ploughing, and the mother of the huntress Britomartis by Zeus. KARME’S male counterpart was her grandfather Karmanor (Carmanor), a Kretan consort of the goddess Demeter. KARME’S name was derived from the word karma “cropped” and keirô “to crop or shear.

We chose KARME as our brand name since our main mission in KARME is to assist the people of middle east and in a broader domain, people of the world to have easier and better access to agricultural products and grains. We aim to put all our effort in order to achieve food security all over the planet. We consider grains not only as commercial goods but as a blessing.
